Who We Are

Volkmann GmbH was founded in 1973 by Jürgen and Ingrid Volkmann as a production automation company in Soest, Westphalia, Germany, initially working with vacuum technology applications. Our own ideas and developments such as the patented „Säuferbalken“® (combined vacuum stripping process for drying belt surfaces and for liquid recovery in mills) and the patented Multijector® (special form of a compressed air-operated multi-stage ejector vacuum pump) established Volkmann as a valuable partner driven by ideas and application technologies for customers from widespread branches of industry. 

Fast forward to today, when Volkmann is headed by Thilo Volkmann as a second-generation family business that specializes in the transport and handling of powders and bulk materials. Volkmann is proud to offer Additive Manufacturing, Battery Manufacturing, Chemical, Food Processing, and Pharmaceutical customers industry-leading solutions ranging from high-quality, standard components to customized, engineered systems for the safe, hygienic, and user-friendly handling of dry, bulk materials. Volkmann’s innovative solutions are designed and manufactured in-house in our state-of-the-art production facility. Volkmann employs nearly 140 employees and operates subsidiaries in France, Japan, the UK, and the United States to serve North America. Volkmann is also represented internationally by local sales agencies.
